Briana Gonzalez, LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I am a licensed clinical social worker serving clients in the state of California via Telehealth services (online). As your therapist, it is my priority to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes safety, trust, empowerment, growth and positive change for you. I look forward to working with you to listen, addresses your challenges and realize your goals. Therapy is a process that can move you toward being the healthiest version of yourself and living the life you desire.
I have been working on the mental health field for 8 years in a variety of different settings, including inpatient mental health, schools, sexual assault and domestic violence clinic, and community mental health agencies. As a trauma survivor myself, I understand the importance of being heard, understanding the hurts that happened and how it has been impactful, and identifying the needs to create the life desired to live to move forward in hope; this personal understanding drives my passion to help others.
My approach will depend on your needs and personal goals. Additionally, I am collaborative with my clients and upon working together, will inquire about what approaches you believes works best for you, as you know yourself the most. I fully believe that personal empowerment comes along with understanding your hurts needs.
Some examples of successful treatment plans will utilize a foundation of biopsychosocial, cognitive/cognitive-behavioral, attachment, multicultural, person-centered, psychodynamic, psychoeducational therapy. After we compete your initial therapy assessment, we collaborate to move toward a tailored treatment plan and approach that includes tools to help sustain the growth experienced in regular therapy.
